Sugar Druzy Quartz-Coated Mint Green Fluorite Cluster – Xia Yang Mine, Fujian, China
An attractive Mint Green Fluorite crystal cluster coated with sparkling Sugar Druzy Quartz, attributed to the Xia Yang Mine (Xiayang Mine), Yongchun County, Quanzhou, Fujian Province, China.
This beautiful cabinet-sized specimen features an abundance of pale seafoam-green Fluorite crystals arranged in a compact, three-dimensional formation. Numerous cubic crystal faces are partially covered by a fine, sugar-like coating of white Quartz microcrystals, creating a delicate frosted appearance.
One of the specimen's most appealing characteristics is the combination of visible green Fluorite and sparkling drusy surfaces. The Quartz coating softens the appearance of the crystals while allowing the underlying green coloration to remain visible.
The specimen also displays areas of deeper translucent green Fluorite, adding depth and contrast to the lighter, frosted crystal clusters.
Viewed from different angles, the specimen reveals overlapping cubic crystal formations, small recessed areas, and densely crystallized surfaces that catch the light.
Measuring approximately 96 × 80 × 40 mm and weighing 343 grams, this specimen makes an attractive addition to collections of Fluorite, Quartz associations, and Chinese minerals.

Collector's Highlights
Beautiful Seafoam-Green Coloration
The specimen displays attractive pale green Fluorite crystals with subtle variations in translucency and color intensity.
Sparkling Sugar Druzy Quartz
Fine Quartz microcrystals create a delicate sugar-like coating that reflects light across the crystal surfaces.
Abundant Cubic Fluorite Crystals
Numerous intergrown cubic crystals form a compact, textured cluster with interesting geometric details.
Three-Dimensional Formation
The overlapping crystals, recessed areas, and contrasting green and white surfaces create an attractive mineral display from multiple viewing angles.
Collectible Fujian Locality
Attributed to Xia Yang Mine in Yongchun County, Fujian Province, China, a locality associated with collectible Fluorite specimens.
Cabinet-Sized Display Specimen
Measuring approximately 96 × 80 × 40 mm and weighing 343 grams, this specimen offers an attractive balance of display size and intricate crystal detail.
Care and Handling
Fluorite has a Mohs hardness of 4 and perfect octahedral cleavage, making it vulnerable to scratching and accidental impacts.
Handle the specimen carefully to preserve its fine Druzy Quartz coating. Avoid ultrasonic cleaning, harsh chemicals, and prolonged direct sunlight.
